It’s a limited edition of the Audeze Maxwell headset called “Ultraviolet” made in partnership with Microsoft. The shimmery outer shell helps you feel like a beacon of hope in the darkness that is gaming. 🙂

The’re closed back headphones with 90mm planar magnetic drivers (instead of typical dynamic ones) for tight control over sound. The mic is a detachable hypercardioid with AI noise reduction. Battery life is rated for 80+ hours.

My favorite aspect is your connection options – you can use them fully wireless with both Bluetooth 5.3 and 2.4GHz wireless, but also wired with either the USB-C or 3.5mm cable (both included).

Priced at $329.00 US on the Audeze website, available for pre-order now for August 15th launch.

The partnership between Audeze and Microsoft which began in 2021 with the Microsoft certification of Audeze’s Penrose gaming headset, and continued recently with Microsoft’s certification of our new Maxwell gaming headset. This partnership has expanded access to Audeze’s industry-leading planar magnetic headsets to Microsoft’s vast audience of console users.  Epic life-like audio quality as delivered by Audeze’s legendary planar magnetic drivers are a powerful tool for gamers, and now with the Ultraviolet limited edition of Maxwell, they can use their sonic advantage in style.

Microsoft’s “Designed for Xbox” program premiered its first collection with a variety of gaming accessories in playful pastel tones last spring. But this year, it’s time to sparkle and shine with Designed for Xbox‘s second collection, set to feature a headset for the first time. To elevate the already chic look of the Maxwell headset for the collection, a color-shifting finish was painstakingly applied to the ear cups and headband using an electroplating process, resulting in a stunningly one-of-a-kind look. Improving low-latency wireless gaming through relentless innovation, Audeze’s Maxwell Ultraviolet Edition wireless headset features Bluetooth 5.3 with LE Audio, Dolby Atmos, and FILTER™ A.I. noise-reducing microphone technology. Game like a pro with massive 90mm planar drivers and 80-hours of battery life.
