McFarlane Toys is making new action figures for 2025 from popular video games like Diablo, World of Warcraft and War Hammer 40,000.
To keep things interesting, they’ve made collecting a kind of game too.
Figures can come with blindbox “mystery weapons“, simulating random and unique weapon finds, just like in the video games. There can also be different versions of the figures from “Common” to “Rare” to “Epic“, with differing character color schemes as well as different weapons. They’re all the same price, with the rarer ones being harder to find. But you’ll know before you buy it; it’ll be printed right on the box.
Finally there are “artist proof” alternate models that come in gray, where the fun is in painting it yourself to make it your very own. Paint is not included – you’re on your own for that.
