There are two lines of XBox One drives from WD Black – and both come with a Game Pass Ultimate subscription for XBox. The first is the portable P10 HDD and the second is the powerful D10 desktop version with ports for charging your accessories. Both are pre-formatted for Xbox One.
WD Black’s whole line spans from SSD’s to HDD’s for PC, XBox and PlayStation gamers too.
XBOX One HDD’s

The P10 Game Drive for XBox is portable, using 2.5” HDD drives and comes in two capacities (3TB or 5TB). By using a USB 3.2 Gen 1 interface, transfer rates are a speedy 130 MB/s max. There’s a single USB cable with no additional power supply needed.
- 3 TB HDD, MSRP $109.99
- 5 TB HDD, MSRP $149.99
- Transfer speed: up to 130 MB/s
- Game Pass Ultimate: 2 month free subscription

The D10 Game Drive for XBox is a 12TB desktop monster with active cooling for the 3.5” HDD drive inside. It has two charge ports for accessories like controllers and headsets and power is supplied via an included AC adapter.
- 12 TB, 7200rpm HDD
- MSRP $299.95
- Transfer speed: up to 250 MB/s
- 2 x USB (7.5W) charge ports
- Game Pass Ultimate: 3 month free subscription
Playstation and PC HDD’s
WD Black has an almost identical version of the Xbox drives for Playstation and PC, but come in different storage capacities. The P10 Game Drive comes in 2, 4 and 5TB while the D10 Game Drive comes in 8TB.
P50 SSD Drive

For no compromise speed, the P50 Game Drive is WD Black’s super fast external SSD drive. The physical size is smaller than most smartphones, with a tiny m.2 NVMe SSD housed in aluminum, which acts as a heatsink. There are 3 sizes to choose from and transfer rates max out at an unbelievable 2000 MB/s using a USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 interface – for those devices that can handle the speeds.
- Available Sizes: 500 GB / 1 TB / 2 TB
- m.2 NVMe SSD
- Transfer speed: up to 2000 MB/s
- WD Black Dashboard software (optimizes PC settings for games)
Internal SSD Drives (for PC gamers)
For PC gaming enthusiasts who’d rather install the SSD directly into their machines, you have an option between the SN750 and the SN750 with heat sink. The module is an m.2 NVMe SSD with capacities up to 2 TB. It uses 3D NAND chips and has transfer speeds up to 3430 MB/s Read and 3000 MB/s Write. We like this very much indeed. Plus, it’s very pretty to look at.

WD Black is only about a year old but they’ve come out with a solid line of storage solutions for console and PC gamers. So download as many games as you want – you’ll never need to worry about running out of space again.
