Iron Mouse -From Sickness to Successful V-Tuber @Anime NYC 2026
Back to: Anime NYC 2026 Main Page (Aug 2026)
We’re at Iron Mouse and Friends booth at Anime NYC 2026 in New York.
Interviewee: Veline, Stream coordinator for Team Iron Mouse.
Who is Iron Mouse?
Iron Mouse is a Puerto Rican vtuber, streams primarily on Twitch. She’s been doing it for nine years now. She and all her friends are here as vtubers to be part of Anime NYC for meet and greets, to sell merch and all that fun stuff.
Life Threatening Issue
For Mouse’s background, she was training to be coloratura soprano operatic singer when she noticed her health deteriorating and got diagnosed with CVID (Common Variable Immune Deficiency) – which pretty much means her immune system does not function [properly]. What keeps her immune system and body going now are weekly donations of plasma (it used to be a lot more than that). She’s been doing this for many, many years.
That led her to a very isolated life (she can’t really leave the house). She had to stop the operatic singing and lost her voice for [like] two years before she got it back, which is why her pitch is so high now compared to most people.
V-tubing Success
Being bored at home, she saw people like Kizuna AI (considered the first vtuber) [on the internet] and a friend suggested “why don’t you try doing that?”
And that’s how she started. She used a free model, started streaming, eventually turning to Twitch, and got her her iconic season one model. From there she’s blown up to where she is now as one of the biggest female streamers on the platform.
She still holds a record for the most Twitch subs of any female streamer with a count of 326,840 subscribers [I believe], but overall, she was number one for a period of time. She’s still sitting on a big number; globally #5 right now. Very big, very popular.
Supporting Future Mouses
Because she’s got such a big platform, it subsequently lead to making money that she uses for better medicine. She’s [also] been using a lot of that money and subathons for donating back to the Primary Immune Deficiency Foundation [external link], or IDF for short.
Their whole goal is to hopefully find a cure for CVID and other primary immune deficiency issues. Mouse also wants [to help] people get diagnosed [early], as it’s a hard thing to treat when you don’t know why you’re constantly sick.
That’s why she spends all her money and investments on promoting that kind of stuff. It’s not only for the hope of curing herself, but for future Iron Mouses to get diagnosed.
With Mouse, the disorder was caught so late that she has permanent lung damage due to bacterial infections. But if caught early enough, you can live a relatively better life with good help and regular plasma donations through awareness of CVID.
Ongoing Recovery
Mouse is trying her best to get back on her feet again by doing a lot more treadmill and walking to regain her leg strength. But if you’ve been 20-30 years without proper treatment, it takes a while to get back, you know?

There are 9 cut-outs of her Vtuber friends, one of whom isn’t actually a Vtuber. Who is that?
That’s a CG5. He’s a musician who was at Mouse’s concert last night (Thu Aug 20, 2026), but he is having Mouse featured on his new music album, “Go, Go, Go”.
And how was the concert? Did you guys get video or stream of the party?
The concert was really good, it was a packed house. If you look on Twitter, you can see a bunch of short clips of it, especially under #Ironmouse.
The full VOD of the concert [external link] is also available to buy right now for 30 days (until Sept 21, 2026). It’s like buying a ticket for those who weren’t able to see the concert. Eventually, all the video and music songs will be remastered and put on Mouses YouTube channel in the next following months.
For new fans who want to find out about Iron Mouse, where can they go?
Her primary platform is on twitch.tv/IronMouse. She streams nearly every day, usually pretty late from like eight o’clock at night [East coast] all the way to eight in the morning, if not later. It’s most days usually, except for Tuesdays.
