Hakos Baelz Dice -Misty Mountain Gaming + Hololive

Hololive is getting into collectible dice sets in collaboration with Misty Mountain Gaming (MMG).

The first of these is a Hakos Baelz set of 7 dice made of frosted prismatic glass. While the general designs were done in-house at MMG (shout out to Tabitha Garland the designer), you can watch a YouTube stream where Baelz designs the sixth side of the D6 die (a little mouse self portrait) as well as the artwork for the back of the box.

Expanding on this, there are two Gigi Murin sets currently available for pre-order – one glass set ($99.99 US) and one resin set ($44.99 US). If you’re interested in watching the design process, Murin also has a YouTube stream of her working on the sixth side of her D6 die and the Insert art.

This is awesome merch for Hololive fans who play table top games, especially since these sets come with MMG’s lifetime warranty. This company lives, breathes and $h!ts dice, so you’re in good hands.

Leather Goods & Accessories -Misty Mountain Gaming

Aside from their expertise in dice, Misty Mountain Gaming have eye-popping product lines that remind me of Robin Hood and his Merry Men. They have things like leather bound books, pelts, bags and medieval type accessories. And the most interesting thing? Everything is ethically sourced.

For example, MMG works directly with different hunter and gatherer tribes to make sure that every part of the sourced materials (even meat and bone) are used and that the animals themselves don’t needlessly suffer.

There are no middle-men either. The materials are sent to artisans who MMG work with directly, who make everything by hand. The finished products are then shipped to MMG, who sell them directly to you.

I’m really glad I got the chance to see MMG at Anime NYC because you really can’t tell what you’re getting when you buy something online. In person, we could see, feel and even smell the high quality oozing from their their goods.

If we’re talking about their notebooks, the thickness of the leather covers and the work that went into the tanning, the latches, and even the paper were noticeable. Books with thicker paper, we discovered, were made with papyrus while books with softer, thinner pages were made from water-fresh cotton twill.

It’s one of those things where sitting in a coffee shop with an MMG notebook will draw comments from complete strangers, just from the quality of the smell. It’s that impressive.
