The Latest Toys coming in 2026 @Toy Fair 2026

Event Date: Feb 14-17, 2026
Place: Jacob Javits Center, NYC
For 2026, Toy Fair is back for 4 days at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York with manufacturers showcasing (and filling in orders for) their latest toys coming this year.
The Show is Smaller This Year
Toy Fair has shrunk a bit, with less toy exhibitors. One reason is the huge impact of the US government’s current tariffs (which keep changing depending on the president’s mood) and the increasing difficulty in entering the country (while deportations increase – for whatever reason).
I’ve spoken to one European company that was forced to close their warehouse in the US and is desperately searching for alternative measures. Others I’ve spoken to have remarked that it takes an exhorbitant amount of effort and expense just to come to the US now, which is why some of the smaller companies have opted not to show up at all.
The bottom line is, it’s getting harder to do business here in the USA for any company with global operations, big or small. Not a problem for local vendors who do business locally (e.g. chicken farmers selling eggs at a local market), but it’s a big problem for everyone else.
Less Press, More Influence
As a side note, in addition to traditional retailers looking to stock up on their toy inventory, I’ve observed the increased replacement of press & media with influencers wanting goodie bags (in many cases, parents dragging their children around a huge convention hall with luggage cases to fill.)
It’s a phenomenon that’s increasing every year, and not just in the toy sector, but every aspect of life. It just seems that lately, professionalism and fact-based reporting is being taken over by popularity contests and “Rah-rah! Look at me!”
