Sam walks us through Lenovo‘s latest laptops and new portable monitor. He tells us that the biggest thing Lenovo has worked on for this year is to improve the visual and audio quality of their lineups. They realize that in addition to work, people are also using their lappies for media consumption, like watching Netflix and videos on social media.

The Thinkpad X1 has had its carbon fiber replaced with aluminum metal (in our mind, we presume this means the X1 Carbon is probably no more.) The Thinkpad X1 YOGA is now in its 4th iteration with some noticeable changes:

  • Speakers have been relocated to the top
  • Super slim, ultra portable
  • Huge array of ports from Thunderbolt 3 to USB-C, HDMI & audio jack
  • Integrated Stylus Pen
  • 4k Display

The Yoga C640 is one of the smallest and affordable 2-in-1 laptops they make.

The Yoga C940 is on the high-end of their Yoga line. It’s got:

  • Dolby Atmos sound bar facing the top
  • Integrated camera privacy shutter
  • Integrated Stylus Pen
  • A lip on the to bezel for the camera

It has Intel’s 10th generation processor with Wi-Fi 6 and Iris Plus integrated graphics.

The Yoga C700 & C500 series all have narrowed screen bezels with brighter display options. The speakers have also been moved from the bottom to the top for improved audio.

The IdeaPad & Yoga 300 & 500 series has undergone changes too with nice color options for the S340 such as sand pink and liquid blue – while Legion gaming products have jumped from 8th Gen Intel processors to 9th Gen.

The ThinkVision M14 is a new monitor for road warriors who need more screen space. It’s a full resolution HD monitor (1920 x 1080) that weighs very little and connects via USB-C DisplayPort. It’s also got power-pass through on both left and right sides – so you can place the monitor on either side of your laptop without worrying about cable length.
