Lacie’s new Rugged line of SSD’s lets you back up your data quickly in all kinds of weather and terrain.
Rugged SSD Pro (1TB / 2TB)
- NVMe storage inside
- Thunderbolt 3 (up to 2800 MB/sec) and USB-C compatible
Rugged SSD (500MB / 1TB / 2TB)
- Uses Seagate FireCuda NVMe
- USB-C (up to 950 MB/sec)
- SED encryption technology
The above are small, portable NVMe SSD’s. Enclosed in an aluminum body, it draws away heat from the SSD itself to keep things cool. The outer liquid silicon then draws heat away from the aluminum in turn.
They’re also IP 67 -waterproof to 1 meter for up to 30 minutes. Accidental drops into pools of water won’t corrupt your drive.
Rugged RAID Shuttle
- 8TB storage total (two 4TB drives inside)
- Raid 0 stripe gives you 8TB OR
- Raid 1 mirror gives you a 4TB double copy
- Can be powered via USB-C or power adapter for legacy connections
