Kodak‘s latest digital cameras and printers go by the name “Smile“, which is probably the effect they’re hoping it’ll have on your face. They showed us 2 models:

Smile Instant Print Camera
It’s more advanced than their first Printomatic point & shoot (or rather, point and print), allowing you to print multiple copies of a picture – not just one. The lens is protected by a slider that looks like it doubles for LCD controls for editing your pictures or making a collage. Specs include:

  • Resolution: 10MP
  • Print time: within 30 seconds
  • Price: $99.99

Smile Instant Digital Printer
Since most people tend to take pictures with their smartphones, why not be able to print those out? The Smile Instant Printer connects to your phone via Bluetooth, and you can make as many prints as you want from there.

They also include an interesting app called the Kodak Smile App that lets you embed a video into any picture you take. So if you ever have any secret messages to send, link a video (up to 30 seconds) to a picture, which can then be opened by the person who has this pic by scanning it in.

Both of these products come in a variety of colors (red, green, white, black and blue) and prints using Zinc technology which uses no ink. You’ll need Zinc tech paper that’s also sold by Kodak, which have a fun element of a peel-off back to make your pictures into stickers.

Charge time for both takes about 1 hour, and with that you can print about 20 pictures if keep making continuous prints one after another.
