This year, McFarlane Toys showed some really intriguing figures in comics and an upcoming video game like the hotly anticipated Cyberpunk 2077 – with Keanu Reeves. Then there’s some really unique ones like Hellbat and Unchained Superman – who’re seen in only a few panels of a comic book, making these figures really rare. You probably won’t be able to find these anywhere else.
There’s a particular model of Superman comes with a bent I-beam (looks like the outline of someone’s head) that’s fun to play with and in their Batman White Knight series, we see a different side of Joker where he’s the good guy.
What did McFarlane show at last year’s Toy Fair 2019?
Spawn also makes a showing as part of a Mortal Kombat 11 line along with Baraka & Kitana. They come with alternate heads and weapons.
The biggest and most exciting update from McFarlane is their Kickstarter campaign for a modern version of their Series 1 Spawn figure.
My guess is that they’ll integrate all their learnings from making past figures (such as materials, articulation technologies and so on) into this one Spawn to make it their flagship model. I mean, the cape is slated to have 4 articulation points just by itself!
