Atari VCS

The Atari VCS is a re-imagined all-in-one gaming, computing, video streaming hybrid entertainment center. That just about covers everything most people do for entertainment nowadays (aside from maybe social media).

It draws from its Atari heritage with 100+ retro games, thousands of arcade hits on Antstream Arcade, and modern titles with over 100,000+ Indy games on GamesJolt. You can also go into PC mode to load from any existing game library. Movies and Games can be viewed/played at up to 4K resolution, 60 fps.

Two controllers are available; an updated “classic” Atari joystick with integrated paddle, steering, wireless connection and rumble, and a modern joypad for full-featured gameplay. Both are PC/mobile compatible.

Atari VCS controllers

For non-gaming tasks, you can connect almost any peripheral like webcam, keyboard or mouse. They come in really handy for apps like Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Drive and Meet – which you can access with the built-in Chrome browser.

If you want, it’s also possible to install your own operating system to use as a mini-PC. For example, you can run Windows 10 via open Sandbox on a USB drive.

Finally, you can create your own apps and games – not just play them. If you make something cool that you want to share, you can upload it to the Atari VCS community and let others give it whirl.

Young

Young is a Jack-of-many-trades. He's lived/worked on several continents for all sorts of companies (and has had his own too.) He meditates with origami and likes coffee, though he really should lay off that stuff.
