The Low-Down

The Neat Skyline microphone looks elegant, sounds great and is super simple to use. Plug in and use it right away with the included USB cable, unless there are several mics to choose from (e.g. a headset or webcam), which you’ll have to select before using.

The mic has good dynamic range and depth. It’ll capture details that let you recognize when you’re dragging your feet or walking loud, heels first. Have a listen to the tests; I wasn’t expecting such details to be captured by this mic, but the surprise was a pleasant one.

There’s only one input control; the big Mute button on the base that turns Green (we can hear you…) or Red (Muted). It’s the only button you’ll ever need, and it’s one my finger loves reaching for.

It’s a Thumbs Up!
